Hello
Thought I'd pop in to introduce myself. I'm Annalee and blog as Moonlander at Moonlander's Musings. My husband and I live near Springfield, Illinois (USA) with our mutt, Hamlet.
Around my house, dog hair is simply another "specialty thread". Hamlet is a handful. He's only 14 months old and a little too rambunctious for me. I have to walk with two canes so I can't chase him and his favorite game is "keep away"! Hubby and I are both retired, he cooks and fishes, I stitch -- and eat, of course. Between our two children we have six grandchildren aged 4 to 15, all boys, so I don't do much girly stitching, darn it.
My stitch pink project is "Courage Bellpull" a freebie design from Donna Bayliss at By the Bay Needleart.
This is Donna's picture I don't know yet what fabric I'll use or even if I'll finish it as a bell pull. This is one of my favorite free BCA designs and I would have stitched it sooner but, thankfully, have only recently found a need for it. I think this design was from a couple of years ago but the design is probably still available on the blog.
This project is being stitched in memory of Judy, daughter of my dear friend Carine, who lost her battle last year at only 30 years of age. Our town happens to be remodeling our 100 year old library and we had a wonderful fund drive that netted enough to dedicate a Children's Reading room to Judy who was a kindergarten teacher, she would be so proud!
I am looking forward to meeting more In the Pink stitchers so chime in soon.
Happy Stitching
